Philadelphia, PA - February 25, 2009 - Washington is taking a hard look at the financial condition of the country’s banks to determine if individual banks are stable enough to withstand further economic downturn.  With talks of nationalizing and new ways to measure the long-term health of a bank, “stress testing” banks is a hot topic at all levels of our government.  Peter L. Cherpack has over 25 years creating credit portfolio management solutions including those that allow stress testing of banks’ commercial real estate loan portfolios. These stress tests utilize computerized “what-if” scenarios to estimate what would happen to groups and individual bank’s CRE loans given varying economic conditions.
